HOW CAN I HELP????
Acknowledge that poverty exists in Oxford. The poor are real people, our neighbours. Acknowlege that one of the fastest rising groups needing our help are the working poor.
Let those in need know about our services or contact Operation Sharing on their behalf.
Volunteer your time or services, help out in the soup kitchen or food bank, volunteer at the Inn Out of the Cold, help at the Christmas Dinner, etc. There's an opportunity for everyone!
Share your gifts and volunteer on one of the operational committees of the organization. They include: program, finance, development, property, and personnel.
Donate food that can be used in the soup kitchen. Since the persons needing the food cards, may only purchase non taxable items, donations of diapers, personal grooming products, detergent, and cleansers are in short supply and would be gratefully accepted.
Donate winter coats, boot, hats and mitts for children and adults for our Coats for Kids program.
Donate school supplies and backpacks for our Knapsacks for Kids program.
Donate new gift appropriate items for the Christmas Place.
The opportunities are endless. Use your imagination to make a difference today!
